Tooele County Planning Commission Considers Regionally Significant Overlay Zones and Chapter 34 Data

The Regionally Significant Development Zones overlay county zones. The proposal presented on July 22, 2026 included vague language and recommendations were tabled until an August 18 meeting. Learn more by reading HB507.

Chapter 34 would establish a data center ordinance with parameters for the allowance of data centers. Vague language and lack of research led this recommendation to be tabled until an August 18 work session. Enacting a moratorium instead was not considered.
